GUIDE: Reducing Lag for Mabi :3

Hi fellow guildies!! Hmm I don't know if this would be concidered a guide though? o:
Anywho :3 ever get frustrated with lag? Example being that you slowly heal yourself or slowly
cast spells no matter how fast you click that darn mouse?? Dx I know a lot of lag is server sided
but there are a few things that you can do to help out with lag on your side. I just wanted to share with
you a few things that helped me reduce lag on Mabi. :3

1) Mess with the graphics settings in the Mabi controls. I reduced a few textures and things
which helped a little but I guess it depends on your PC specs if this helps or not.

2) Use a program to clean up your PC. I personally use Advanced System Care. It cleans out
any junk, cleans registry, and defrags. Nice free program! I use it on my new laptop (Win7) but
when installed on my old crap PC (WinXP) it really did an amazing job and I noticed the PC
ran so much faster!

3) Try out Gamebooster!! This free program helps stop any background processes to free up
some memory which could be used towards any game you play. FYI though, some people
say it helps alot and others says not so much. Won't hurt for you to try!

4) Disable Nagle! Dx Nagle is evil!! Nagle is the DEVIL!! The guide for it can be viewed on the Wiki here
(scroll down almost to the bottom of the page). Once I disabled it I could then cast heal and
the other spells so much faster! With Nagle disabled there won't be that small delay in response time. :3
It is a registry edit so PLZ make sure that if you do this to follow the guide carefully and exactly!

5) Lower your MTU. I tried this on XP and noticed it helped reduce lag but for Win7 I haven't noticed it much.
The guide for doing this is also on the same wiki page as for the Nagle guide. I used a free program called TCP Optimizer
to help me change the MTU with ease.

Ok, I think that's about it. o: If anyone has any other suggestions or info they would like to share that has helped them
reduce lag then plz feel free to post. :3 Also if this post is in the wrong section then just let me know! TY!

I use CCleaner to clean my compie, so that might help people out too :3 Defragmenting might also help a little o: But otherwise you covered it all~ ^-^

Can't believe I forgot about defragging! I think the Advance Systemcare program does that. I've used it for so long that I never pay attention anymore lol. I heard alot of good things about CCleaner as well.

Yesterday I spent a good 6 hours cleaning and organizing Ivan's PC with the above programs and suggested changes. It was a huge task to undertake but everything that I did seemed to help alot. That pc, however, only has 1 gig of ram so it still runs pretty slow BUT I did notice a significant difference today when I tested out Mabi. Still pretty laggy but no where near as annoying as before the cleanup. x.x
